The University of Sussex Special Collections at The Keep has over 180 archive collections collected from 1960s onwards. They cover a range of topics and reflect the interdisciplinary nature of the University of Sussex. The collections cover 20th and 21st century literary, social and political history. We hold a number of German Jewish family collections. These personal collections focus on family and domestic life. They document pre-war German-Jewish life, involvement in World War One, leaving Germany in 1939, writing to family members during World War Two, post war life and restitution claims.
