MS 62 Dr David Warm Oral History Archive
At Special Collections we have been developing our collections relating to the history of the Jewish community in Ireland, with a particular focus on Northern Ireland. In 2018 we received a donation from Dr David Warm, a former academic at the University of Ulster, of a series of interviews he had conducted in the 1990s and early 2000s as part of a research project entitled "The Northern Ireland Jewish Oral and Documentary History Project". Dr Warm had interviewed a variety of Jewish people who live or have lived in Northern Ireland. Approximately half of the interviewees are Holocaust survivors, many of whom arrived in Northern Ireland on the Kindertransport.
The original collection of cassettes and CDs has now been fully digitised, and the audio files can be accessed by researchers on campus in Special Collections. For access, please make an appointment by emailing specialcollections@qub.ac.uk. Please note that we require at least 24 hours notice (excluding weekends) in advance of your appointment.
